This seriously cracks me up. If they play this video when I'm in Pattaya or Bangkok next month, I'll be laughing my ass off.

Some promo pics for The Client List, premiering at 10pm on 8th April on Lifetime.
I've always been a big fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt's sweet face and even sweeter boobs.

Adobe Flash is complete rubbish
Flash keeps fucking up my Farmville so many times recently, I definitely understand why Apple keeps Flash out of its products.

BBC's One Night
Recently watched One Night, BBC's 4-part drama and very much enjoyed it. I strongly recommend this terrific series to anyone.
Summary: The story of four ordinary people whose fates are linked by a seemingly inconsequential event.

Dwight Howard is a douche
Dwight Howard is a douche and a liar. Sucks that power play is the most important thing on players' minds these days.
Fun Bit 014 - Schwarzenegger's Tastes
News:
Schwarzenegger slams Terminator Salvation but is open to 'Triplets'
Fun: So he doesn't like shitty action movies but if he gets paid for it, doesn't mind doing a shitty comedy?
Explains his taste in women too. What a disaster.

Good job, Amazon!
Gotta say I'm very impressed with Amazon right about now. I ordered 6 items on 28th March, i.e. exactly 1 week ago, and chose the cheapest International shipping option.
For some reason, Amazon split them up into 3 packages. The third one has not arrived yet but so far so good:
The first one (a paperback that my wife wanted) arrived on Monday afternoon, 2 days ahead of Amazon's estimate.
The second one (an Eagle Creek Duffel Bag) arrived just 1 hour ago, 3 full weeks ahead of Amazon's estimate.
If I lived in the US or somewhere else that has an Amazon store, I'd probably do all my shopping on there. No wonder Walmart is worried.

Movie Releases - April 2012
I have some free time today so I thought I'd write about the major movie releases coming in the next couple of weeks.
American Reunion
American Reunion is the only wide release this coming weekend. No wonder that guy in charge of distribution for Wrath of the Titans feels rather confident his movie will earn a decent amount of dosh in its second weekend.
I suppose everybody in my age group would have seen and liked the first three movies. Well, 9 years after the 3rd one, we are served American Reunion. Most of the actors have not done much in these 9 years, which is probably why they all made it back. Seann William Scott was in a few movies for a while, I quite liked The Rundown. Alyson Hannigan went into How I Met Your Mother and has probably been the most successful.
Even if I was still watching movies here in Singapore, I would give this one a miss. You can never know what kind of censoring they will do to R-rated movies. Not worth paying $10 to end up missing out on tits.
Anticipation Factor: 3 out of 5. Tara Reid looks as hot as ever on this movie poster.
The Cabin in the Woods
They might be repetitive but I love movies that starts out with 7 or 8 characters who get killed off one by one. I thought this was one of them and to a certain point, I suppose it will be.
But given that it's produced by Joss Whedon and written by the writer of Cloverfield (which I didn't bother watching), there will most likely be some aliens in there. That's also fine with me, I love movies in space that start out with 7 or 8 characters who get killed off one by one.
Anticipation Factor: 4.5 out of 5. What's not to like?
Lockout
From the producers of Taken and also starring Maggie Grace, it's a wonder this movie doesn't have Liam Neeson in it! The plot looks decent enough: set in the near future, "Lockout" follows a falsely convicted ex- government agent, whose one chance at obtaining freedom lies in the dangerous mission of rescuing the President’s daughter from rioting convicts at an outer space maximum security prison.
I love an action movie set in the future. Guy Pearce is a pretty good actor. Not sure why they keep casting Maggie Grace as the "innocent" daughter though.
Anticipation Factor: 3.5 out of 5. That gun looks kick-ass.
The Three Stooges
This movie's poster (see further below) reminds me of Dumb and Dumber. The guy on the left has the exact same haircut that Jim Carrey had. And now I read they're finally doing a sequel.
I haven't seen the original movie or TV series or whatever it was, so no nostalgia for me. The poster boasts "No Brain" as if that's supposed to encourage me. Isn't there enough "No Brain" stuff in reality shows on TV and in 21 Jump Street?
Anticipation Factor: 1 out of 5. Will try but with my finger constantly hovering over the Stop button.

US Box Office 20120330-20120401
Thought I'd write my thoughts about the Top 5 movies at the US Box Office this past weekend.
1. The Hunger Games
Second week at No.1 for The Hunger Games. If I didn't mind squeezing into your typical Singapore cinema (i.e. packed with rude and inconsiderate people), I would go watch this movie.
It looks very interesting and from what I've seen in the trailers, the only reasons it's often compared to Twilight are that it also comes from a book and that it's making tons of money. Of course, I could be wrong but I will definitely watch this movie at some stage, most likely in the comfort of my home.
2. Wrath of the Titans
I saw Clash of the Titans, thought it was an absolute waste of my time and money and was extremely pissed when I read they were doing a sequel.
But apparently the first one made $61.2 million in its opening weekend, which explains the sequel. This one made $34.2 million but unfortunately, they are not calling it a flop because it's expected to earn more in the coming days and even weeks. I just hope there won't be a third one.
3. Mirror Mirror
Did we really need another Snow White movie and one that stars Julia Roberts? Sounds like she's running out of job offers.
4. 21 Jump Street
I could not even sit through 30 seconds of this movie's trailer. It's so incredibly stupid and juvenile. It's extremely sad and disturbing that we live in a world where this movie has earned $93 million to date.
But then again, The Hangover and its sequel earned a lot more, Snooki and the rest of the Jersey Shore crew are millionaires and you can't flip channels without catching a reality show, so it's obvious there are a lot of stupid people out there.
5. Dr. Seuss' The Lorax
I saw the trailer for this one. The kids would find this quite fun but I won't watch it.

Fun Bit 013 - Jack and Jill
News:
Fun:
Jack and Jill is so crap, Yahoo refuses to spell Adam Sandler's name right.
On a separate note, that movie really is crap. I'm usually a big fan of Adam Sandler's movies but couldn't even get through 20 minutes of this one.
Having Katie Holmes in there didn't help. Seems she has already hit that age when white women suddenly go from doable to saggy.

2 Convenient Bangkok Hotels
Found 2 brand new and very convenient hotels for our next visit to Bangkok, be it in February or some other time.
1. Grande Centre Point Sukhumvit – Terminal 21
This one is located at the brand new shopping mall Terminal 21. And being close to stations along the BTS (Asok Station) and the MRT (Sukhumvit Station) lines makes it very convenient for moving around to other areas.
That is if the need even arises to go to other areas!! I can just picture my wife spending most days in that mall while (hopefully) I lounge at the pool. And as we just love going to the cinema in Thailand, we can hit a movie every night at the SF Cinema City.

2. Novotel Bangkok Platinum Hotel
This hotel is located just above the famous Platinum Fashion Mall. That’s a lot of shopping right there and the Pratunam Market is just across the street. So it will definitely be useful if my Mom or mother-in-law or both accompany us to Bangkok.
Plenty of other things to do around there too. Central World, Pantip Plaza, MBK, Siam Square and Siam Paragon are not very far.
